Please see below our parish's plans in light of the mandates and advisories issued by State, County and City Officials published these past few days.
Masses
At present, weekend and weekday Masses will continue on their regular schedule. At the same time, please remember that the Dispensation from the weekend Mass obligation remains in effect. Please note the wearing of masks and social distancing at Masses continues and your compliance is most appreciated. Those who are high risk are urged to seriously consider whether they want to venture out in public even with the above practices. To read a listing of the guidelines and procedures for attending Mass, please click here. The video Mass continues to be posted each Saturday and can be found online here.
We have received inquiries about how people might get us their Sunday offerings. We are very appreciative of this and share that they can be mailed to the Parish Office (434 Norton Road, Columbus, OH, 43228). You can also give electronically through our online giving company, Faith Direct. For more information on how you can give electronically, please click here.
Confessions
Confessions will continue as scheduled. However, please note that during scheduled times on Saturday between 4:00-4:30, the entire St. Cecilia Room serves as the Confessional to allow for social distancing. Those waiting to go to Confession should remain in the Gathering Space.
Baptisms
Baptisms will continue as scheduled. However, families are asked to be mindful of the mask requirement and social distancing. This may effect the number of attendees.
Parish Office
The Parish Office will remain open and maintain regular hours; 9:00am to 4:00pm, Monday through Friday. Masks and social distancing protocols will remain in effect in the office. You are encouraged to conduct any necessary business by email or by phone. However, if you need to come to the parish office, every effort will be made to conduct business only in the office lobby. People will be able to drop-off and/or pick up items in baskets in the lobby in order to keep all activity contactless. Please call the office before you plan on coming inside.
SCRIP Sales
SCRIP gift cards will continue to be available in the Gathering Space after the Masses as long as there are volunteers available to sell the cards. SCRIP Cards can also can purchased online at https://www.shopwithscrip.com/ and by contacting the parish office.
Parish Meetings
Most parish groups have decided to cancel or postpone meetings or events, or conduct them virtually. Again, mandates are to be observed if they meet in-person. Only a few small groups of a religious nature will continue to meet in a hybrid fashion so as to complete their current semester.
Athletics
All athletic practices and games have been postponed by mandate of the Diocesan Recreation Board.
School, Preschool, Parish School of Religion
St. Cecilia School, Preschool and Parish School of Religion will continue to be in session as scheduled. Diocesan and Parish officials will continue to monitor the situation.
Pastoral, Communion, Hospital Visits
Please note that hospitals and nursing facilities have suspended visitations with the exception of danger of death and Last Rites. This includes clergy visitations. For the safety and well-being of all, Communion Call Visits are also being suspended. However, Last Rites can be given.
Bingo
At this time, our bingo operation is still closed due to COVID-19 safety regulations.
