The purpose of the Parish School of Religion (PSR) Program is to assist families with school-aged students attending public schools or being home schooled by providing their children with a Catholic religious education. At St. Cecilia, our PSR program is family-based. Family-based catechesis is a faith formation approach that emphasizes the role of parents as the primary teachers of their children's faith, with the church providing support and resources. It aims to involve the entire family in the process of learning and living the faith together, moving beyond traditional classroom settings. This model recognizes the family as the "domestic church" and seeks to strengthen faith within the family unit.
Family-based PSR sessions are offered for families with students in kindergarten through eighth grade. Sessions are offered on Sunday mornings. The parents/guardians of the students enrolling in the PSR Program are expected to be registered, active members of the parish. This includes regular attendance at Sunday Masses. If you have questions about your parish membership, please call the Parish Office at 614-878-5353. Authorization to attend the program may be granted to members of other Roman Catholic parishes, with the prior approval of their parish's pastor and St. Cecilia's pastor.
Information and registration sessions for St. Cecilia’s Parish School of Religion (PSR) will be held on Sunday, August 23, 2026 and on Sunday, August 30, 2026 following all the Masses on both days. Parents must attend one of the sessions. Registrations will only occur during these informational sessions. The cost of attending PSR for the 2026-2027 school year is $100 for one child and $80 for each additional child.
