Mission Appeal Weekend

The weekend of June 6 & 7, at all the Masses, we will welcome sisters from The Congregation of the Franciscan Sisters of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. The Congregation was established in the year 1844 in Pondicherry, India and is aimed at liberating oppressed and illiterate women from violence and social injustices. The Congregation is now spread out over 5 continents and in 7 additional countries (Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, France, Germany, Italy, and USA). They serve the local communities by offering pastoral education, social work, health care, and geriatric care. Today, the congregation has 1000 sisters and 178 convents and continues its journey towards greater witness and selfless service, especially for women.

These life-changing ministries are made possible entirely through the generosity of their benefactors. Every act of kindness, every contribution, and every prayer helps them continue their mission of love. With financial assistance, they can strengthen these vital programs and continue to support the next generation of missionaries who will serve with love and dedication.  To support the vital work the sisters are accomplishing across the world, there will be a special second collection next weekend at all the Masses.
